Ajambule"Take a picture", in Ciyawo & Chichewa. Documentary & cultural photography from East Africa, with a few other things thrown in for good measure…
People who know their stuff tell you that you gotta practice, practice, practice if you want to get good at something. Author Malcolm Gladwell will tell you it's the 10,000 hour rule. But while I don't plan to spend that much time shooting frames or editing them in Adobe Lightroom, I do want a vehicle whereby I can strive to improve my craft. Hence, Ajambule!
Welcome to my little corner of the world, in a place as rural as I've ever been but brought close to you by the marvels of modern technology: a cell phone and computer. Most of my time is spent in the most rural province in Mozambique, Africa skirting the border with Malawi.
While I do have other blogs & sites, this one is specifically for my interest in photography. I want to showcase what I deem my favorites; get feedback from my readers critical or otherwise. I want to share what I'm learning in the process, and I can assure you I'm no expert and have only barely broken over the $1000 mark on my various equipment. There's hope to the every man, woman, or child who loves photography and the story it can tell; the joy it can bring.
