In 2008, I moved my family only a few miles away but across the international border to Portuguese-speaking Mozambique. We have been enjoying the culture and people of Niassa Province since then and are constantly amazed by our good fortune to be in an area of great beauty, though very poor. Here are a few favorite images mostly from Niassa Province (the most rural province in the country situated to the north and east).

Don’t miss my Mozambique Island image gallery, a UNESCO world heritage site.
