Nairobi days

When a photographer goes to Kenya, there’s usually only one thing on his mind: safari. I went prepared, just in case, with long lens and monopod and whatever else I could think of that could come in handy, knowing full well that seeing any wildlife not of the human variety would be an unexpected bonus.

Rather then add to the plethora of safari images out there (fun to shoot, to be sure), I will include some favorite images from Nairobi and the surrounding area. I mainly roamed the streets on foot with my two youngest children for the first two days while my wife laid in bed sick with malaria (a gift from Mozambique). And the end of our trip, it was me who was crashed out in bed with malaria. Again, not a disease picked up in Kenya.
